This was my weight yesterday. I stood there in shock for a few minutes and jumped up and down I was so excited!!! The last time I was under 200 pounds was in 2009. 

I am now at a 23 pound weight loss. 23 pounds.

So happy and so proud of myself! I have received some emails about what I have changed and like I’ve mentioned, the only thing I’ve changed is my level of obsession.

Fact: I’m not a salad lover. I have tried and tried to like salads, but we just don’t have a strong bond. I’m all for having salads on the side, but not for a main meal. For years, I have tried to talk myself into having a salad every day for lunch, because I thought that’s what I was supposed to do. Now that I don’t make myself eat salads, I find myself wanting one on the side, especially when we go out to dinner.

Breakfasts haven’t changed much at all, still eating eggs most mornings; today was scrambled eggs with a slice of canadian bacon and sharp cheddar cheese with toast and a banana on the side.

As for beverages, I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I actually crave water now! When I was driving myself nuts counting calories and ounces of water, it was a good day if I had 16 or maybe 20 ounces, not sure how much I drink now, but my glass is always full.

Dinners are making my family very happy. I used to make very boring meals: grilled or baked meat, vegetable, fruit. I’m embracing cooking again and know my life isn’t over if I have a big baked potato with dinner.

Next thing I want to focus on is exercise. I’ve kind of put that on the back burner until I got my food issues under control, but I’m ready now.

I promised 3 little kids of mine they could go swimming after dinner tonight, so it’s time I stop rambling!
