2012 Goals {and a giveaway}

I’ve never been big on the whole New Year’s Resolution idea, to me, it just seemed like something people did for the first few days and then give up. Making a goal to last an entire year, just didn’t seem realistic. After my Dad died so suddenly, I was lost. I was scared to make plans for anything and was just existing. The last {nearly} 2 years have taught me a lot about myself and what I’ve realized is that it’s ok to plan for the future and it’s ok to have goals and to be excited about things. Because, yes, you never know what could happen tomorrow, but that doesn’t mean I can’t make plans or goals for myself.

I am setting a few goals for myself for the year 2012: Yes, I know I’m really late to post this, since it’s now nearly February, but I wanted to have concrete, realistic goals instead of the generic “lose weight” resolution, I have small goals to help me reach my happy weight.

1. Concentrate more on eating healthy than diet eating. Increase water consumption and decrease diet coke consumption.

2. Concentrate on fitness.

  • do 10 push ups (not on my knees) by the end of the year
  • hold a plank for 3 minutes
  • To not have to “modify” every move in the DVD’s I do.

And now for the giveaway! Trop 50 is offering 1 lucky reader a chance to win a $50 spa and wellness gift card.

At 50 calories per eight-ounce glass, Trop50 not only tastes great, but helps you feel good. Each 8-ounce glass of Trop50 squeezes in a full day’s supply of vitamin C and is also a good source of antioxidant vitamin E.

· Trop50 is available in Orange (No Pulp, Some Pulp and Calcium + Vitamin D), Farmstand Apple, Pomegranate Blueberry, Pineapple Mango, Lemonade and Raspberry Lemonade.

· Trop50 Orange juice beverages also are a good source of potassium and antioxidant vitamin A.

· Pineapple Mango provides a good source of potassium.

QuantcastI tried the Pomegranate Blueberry over the weekend, and it’s delicious! I’m not a huge fan of orange juice unless I’m sick, but the pomegranate blueberry is perfect for when I need something other than water without blowing my calorie budget for the day.

December

I’m getting old. The years are flying by faster and faster and there isn’t anything I can do about it. The last time I blinked, it was July and I was here.

Doing a lot of this

And now it’s December, the Christmas tree is up, lights are up, decorations are almost done and I wonder how to slow time down!

But, since there isn’t a way to slow things down, I can soak up every thing I love about December and enjoy the ride!

Along with that and because I need a challenge in my life, I’m posting some goals for myself.

1. There are 2 milestones I’m very close to making and when I hit those, I will be celebrating. My goal is to reach those milestones by the end of the month.

2. It’s no secret that exercise is my downfall. My goal is to reach 300 minutes of exercise this month.

Since it’s the season of giving, I have 7 giveaways that will be coming your way very soon (the first one will be today); here’s what I will be giving away (keep in mind some will be coupons, and some actual product) and also some will be from my personal stash and some will be coming from the company directly.

1. Mamma Chia

2. Primal Strips

3. Veggie Patch and Tribe Hummus

4. Artisana

5. Bella Bars

6. Larabars

7. Bakery on Main

I’m very excited about each of these giveaways because I genuinely like each and every one of their products and I hope you will too!! So tell your friends and come back later today for the first giveaway 🙂
