Home away from home {Part 2}

We woke up this morning to rain and thunder, and it lasted all morning into mid-afternoon. Most of the time the trailer feels giant, until you are trapped in it with 5 people, suddenly there is barely room to breathe.

Karlie spent some time drawing, reading books and playing games on her DS.

And the boys were switching between watching movies and playing games.

Finally it cleared, we went to lunch and to the grocery store and then set everyone loose to go run off some energy outside.

This is the golf cart that we use for driving down the camp store, the pool or just for rides around the campground. It’s also used to put babies to sleep when nothing else works.

What’s better on a chilly, rainy afternoon than hot chocolate? Extra marshmallows added after I took the picture.

I finished the book I was reading, Stolen Innocence, and started the next book I brought, Winter’s Bone. I’ll do a re-cap of the books I’m reading when we get home next week.

After dinner of grilled cheese and soup we headed out for a fire, playing at the playground and now we’re watching a movie and heading to bed. Thankfully, it’s supposed to be sunny tomorrow, a lot cooler, but at least the sun will be out!

  1. I’m glad the rain cleared up-it looked like you guys made the best of it though! Your children are adorable. I’m anxious to hear how you like the books- I’m always on the lookout for new ones! Enjoy the rest of your trip πŸ™‚
